Hi, I’m Tahlequah Criminal Defense Attorney Aaron Grubb at Wirth Law Office. In this video, we’re just gonna talk about realistic expectations for attorneys and what service you’re actually purchasing whenever you retain here at Wirth Law Office.
For realistic expectations, it’s very important whenever you’re going in to understand what the jobs that we do and how we can actually help you. For civil cases, it can be a pretty long and drawn out process to get anything done because it’s two people who were not able to come to an agreement and so they had to get lawyers involved.
The Nature of Civil vs. Criminal Cases
And for us, we’re advocating for our clients, but it’s still gonna be a battle that we have to try to concede on certain areas or force our hand on others. And so it can be a very long process. As for criminal matters, a lot of the time the state, depending on what county you’re in, has a really long time to respond to anything.
If you have a bond requirement, such as like an ankle monitor or you’re unable to leave the state and you’re actually a resident of a different state, it can be really hard to actually get the DA or the judge to grant you permission to travel. And this can take a really long time just because courts are backed up.
Time and Resources: Key Elements of Legal Representation
And so it’s important to know that we want to advocate for you and we want to fight for you, but we can’t just wave a magic wand and solve your problem. It’s gonna take some time. It’s gonna take some resources to be able to get the results that you want.
